Thread: FSAE-A Endurance Track Length

  1. #1
Did anyone datalog the FSAE-A endurance race distance? I'm curious to swap data or at least some numbers. Strictly for fuel economy calcs, I'd like to check numbers (seems kinda short).

    PM me if you're interested.
    Thanks!

i was recording about 775 meters per lap
at an average speed of 57 km/h

speed perfect, distance 5% too long

I remember they announced the track length during the day.. someone else might remember

So you datalogged the distance as longer than 22 km? That's odd, because we have it around 20.5. Front or rear sensors?

i spose it all depends if you have the correct constant for rolling diameter

we pushed the car through the pits before the race and measured it

but then it could be the algorithm used in calculating the distance through corners

we have front and rear (for traction control)

the distance comes from the front sensors

Ours was off the fronts too, but you're right it could be in the formula very easily. We'll check it as soon as the damn thing comes back!

    Thanks for the info

i think the motec TC module uses

    If A|>B*1.3
    Then (A+B)/2
    Else A
