what are your thoughts on the season? Im not a ferrari fan, but dislike hamilton so i was rooting for Massa all year. It was unfortunate for Massa, it was oh so close.

It is a sad day in F1 ...

    Rinaz,
These days I don't much care what happens in F1, but had Massa won after the penalty given to Hamilton in Spa (where he clearly allowed Raikkonen to repass before the overtaking manoeuvre), then Massa's championship would always be blighted.
So, I think the right man is champion though I would keep my eye on Kubica for next year.

It was a great finish to an otherwise weird and dismal season. I feel for Massa, he really drove to a commanding victory. Just goes to show that intermittent rain can turn a boring F1 race on it's head!

I'm on the lookout for Kubica next year, and Vettel will be a future champion if he gets a top-tier ride in the coming years.

Im guessing that Vettel will replace massa at ferrari or kovalainen at Mclaren, so im watching Vettel.

p/s: pat, if you're not watching F1, what are you into these days?

I'd say after that race, the rules should include random watering of part of the track during the race. No one knowing when and where it might start or stop.

    that would be exciting.

Isn't the F1 circus testing at some new circuit in Portugal soon where they can artificially water the track for testing purposes? Best idea ever...

    Rinaz,

MotoGP and WSBK make for good viewing these days, although I think scrapping the 250s for 600 4 strokes is crazy. Why not 400cc twins (half a MotoGP) for the 250s and 200 singles (Half a half a MotoGP) for the 125s?
That would allow the makers to amortise their production equipment.
Next thing you know they will have footwell templates! =]

    VFR and Brett,
The late Carroll Smith reckoned FSAE should be held on watered tracks =] Do away with the need for wet and dry tyres.

That would certainly make things interesting! Imagine the Aussie state governments reaction to using a few megalitres of water for FSAE-A every year hehe...
