Guess the 13" version should be running cross-ply too.

I'm pretty sure that the 13" are X-ply too but I can't remember where where I have read that. Have you checked on goodyears website?

All of the Goodyear tires used in FSAE application are bias-ply. I have cut tire sections of many of them.

An easy way to check.....lay any tire flat on the ground and try to squish it. If the tread region buckles at all, you have a bias tire. The steel belts in radials are far too stiff to allow any buckling in the tread region.
