Check up the manual.

You can either:
- Hold the damper securely, and rotate the adjusting knob the desired number of clicks.
- Hold the adjusting knob securely and rotate the damper the desired number of clicks
They are double adjustable - you can do either.

If the damper is fitted to the car, the first option is usually preferable

Hi Geoff!

Thank you for explaining that.

Can you help me further?

There are two Penske 7800s. A very inconvenient naming choice...

Manuals for either can be easily found online.
Kaz Technologies 7800 (http://www.kaztechnologies.com/fileadmin/user_upload/files/Penske7800_Data/2010%20PS-78PB-DA%20Manual.pdf) (externally adjustable)
"Quarter Midget" 7800 (http://www.penskeshocks.com/files/7800_Series_Manual.pdf) (not externally adjustable)

Now you owe me a beer http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

see chris the problem becomes enforcing the "owe me a beer" rule. Not all of us end up at MIS or Lincoln or even Stateside for that matter....sooo....how do I redeem a beer certificate from someone in say...india?

I agree that I will probably never get that beer, but the odds are zero if the "beer certificate" is not issued in the first place, and what a great beer it will be if it does get redeemed http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Woah, was not expecting all of those pictures when opening this thread again. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I think I will have to go in and get some made now.

Chris, I'll buy one for you if you're at MIS this year.

And I hope to see everyone else there being gracious team members.
"Beertificates" may be distributed to people that I see being gracious team members to their own and other teams. They can be redeemed by returning them to me. Remember, alcohol is not allowed on MIS premises during and definitely frowned up to be intoxicated at all during the collegiate competition. Thus, it would have to wait until after the day is over. Also, I don't need to end up in the tangles of the law, so there is a bottom line on age (Sorry, kids! Grape soda? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif ).

Oh c'mon gramps! Someone had to get YOU beverages before you were of age....but i think you're making the right choice.

Gonna hang onto mine, Invitation will be open to anyone that shows up at lincoln. We ah....scoped out the architecture of a few buildings last year....that just so happened to be along the main drag.

Who knew that like the penske 7800's my drink straw was also double adjustable? I could bend it AND extend it. comes in handy when you're trying to get that last little bit of soda http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thanks, I'll take you up on that if I'm there. I certainly support more inter-team activities at competition. Unfortunately, I may not make it to MIS this year, but I'll try.
