Hey,
Being the jack of all trades(aka we currently only have like 4 memebers on the team) I have been working on shifters for the last 2 years...everything from integrated clutch hand shifters to paddle shifters. I have heard a lot of positive about the butterfly shifters so thats the current design I'm working with.

Basically I would like to see some pictures of peoples designs since I don't fully understand there working as far as shifting with/ without the clutch goes. Do both levers move together when clutching? Are push pull cables used for the gears and motorcycle clutch cables for the clutch? Any information/ pictures/ 3-D models would be greatly appreciated.

We used the front lever only for starting out or for clutching while spinning out. A standard cable from a local motorcycle shop was connected to the front lever, and another standard cable was connected to the rear lever. By standard, I mean not a push-pull cable. This caused the clutch to be disengaged only on downshifts. A fairly stout push-pull cable was used for the main shift cable and was attached to the rear lever only.

When manually clutching, only the front lever is moved.

Our design changed slightly from that model, but I am not sure how exactly.
