Rule T4.5.3 Any firewall must seal completely against the passage of fluids, especially at the sides and the floor of the cockpit, i.e. there can be no holes in a firewall through which seat belts pass.

Is there a standard sealant which is to be used for sealing the firewall?
Can we use Silicone?

We usually use some sort of aluminum tape or duct tape. Silicone would likely work.

Aluminum tape is what is normally accepted. At FS Germany normal duct tape isn't accepted as sealing for firewall.

Aluminum should only be used to seal the firewall, especially at the edges. I wouldn't accept silicone as a sealant.

A general advice for questions like this is to submit it to the rules commitee of the competition you are planning to take part at. Make sure you give all necessary details about the material you want to use and you should get a clear "yes" or "no". If you get the permission before comp, you won't get into trouble at scrutineering.
