Looks to be a monocoque. Our '04 car was of similar design and affectionately called "Tubby". In the picture on the right.

I was looking at the photo's of your new chassis on your website, The car looks very different to your last car, are those cross members staying put in the front of your chassis? How much does your new chassis weight?

Ian,

You are correct. We make a different car every year (it's different to our class 3 design as well). Our TBR08 is a revolution, for instance, it is about a foot lower!

The cross members will stay put and the chassis weight is gonna be sub 18kg ;-)

Who knows?! We might turn up with a car like those in the spy shot!!

18Kg is impressive.

Cool looking chassis guys, but how does it pass rules 3.3.6.2 Front Bulkhead Support?

We have checked with the judges and there is no problem with our design ;-)

Few more bits to be added.

Not been easy with the workshop move and all the building work going on.

Nice!! It looks like we have a very similar space frame structure!!

We are moving build room too... A few things are not quite ready yet, what a nightmare!!

The Front Bulkhead must be supported back to the Front Roll Hoop by a minimum
of three (3) Frame Members on each side of the vehicle with one at the top (within
50.8 mm (2 inches) of its top-most surface), one (1) at the bottom, and one (1) as a
diagonal brace to provide triangulation.

The triangulation must be node-to-node, with triangles being formed by the Front
Bulkhead, the diagonal and one of the other two required Front Bulkhead Support
Frame Members.

I understand this rule as there has to be at least a diagonal brace running node to node from the lower frame member bulkhead joint to within 2in of the top of the front roll hoop. Or visa versa.

I might be wrong though, but we got pulled up on this at last years comp.

I believe the rules committee is okay with it if it is well triangulated. Last year, there was a xls file from them showing about 30 cases that would or would not work.

as spaceframes go I think they are all very distinguishable.
