It looks like I will be in the Tacoma area for the racing seminar on the 12th of this month. Any UW, WSU, WWU students attending? Has anybody attended this in the past? http://www.armadilloracing.com/2005_Seminar.htm

Sam,
UW and WWU will be the Seattle area (Bellevue) this weekend showing off cars for the Puget Sound Engineering Council's Engineering Fair. It gets over by 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. If you're up for a beer I'll buy the first round and we can probably talk Travis into buying the second.
Are you coming in on Friday night? Give me a call at the shop or on my cell phone and we can work something out.

I think we're driving in Everett on Sunday too, if you want to see Tubby in action (on old, dead tires... http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )
Somebody call me if you're heading out for drinks, I'm not sure what my plans are but it would be fun to catch up with you guys.

We are trying to set up a meeting friday afternoon with mitchell, but will be free after that. I wish I hadn't blown our engine or I could bring our car out.
I can't get up to Bellingham but would be up for a tour of your shop Denny if you are able. I will have 4 undergrads with me, 3 have never seen another FSAE car.
I am always up for a beer and car talk.

Do you have any specific info on the engineering fair? If possible, it would be great to drop by and check out the FSAE presentations.

Dan,
I don't know much about the Engineering Fair. I guess it's a bunch of kids building Popsicle Stick Bridges. I jumped on it without knowing much about it. Travis told me UW was going and I can't let them show us up.
As for presentations: I suspect that UW will be there in full fanfare with display boards and everything. We are just taking Viking 30 (http://dot.etec.wwu.edu/fsae/viking30.htm)and some cool parts – that usually works pretty well for us.
Send me an email and maybe we can catch up Saturday night.
The full flyer they gave us is here. (http://dot.etec.wwu.edu/fsae/HostedPics/James/2005_PSEC_Engr_Fair_Announcement)
The important stuff:

Everett, but Mike T or Waggoner would have to confirm that they're actually driving, since I've been sleeping in on weekends for the last few months http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

This sounds like way, way to many FSAE guys in one town http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I think some of us were already planning on grabbing a drink or two, if your WSU crew wants to join in I'm sure you're more than welcome.
Edit: Denny beat me too it, but the driving will be in Everett

You guys want to go to Sykart on Saturday? We can get a group/package deal, 2 10min sessions for $30.

If at all possible, we'd like to tag along with Sam's group for a tour of the UW Formula shops.
Would everyone who's going to be in the Seattle area like to hook up for food and drinks? If we get together to take a look at UW FSAE, we could go to the Ram afterwards (so our under 21 members can go).

The seminar was great. I would highly recommend it next year for any of the northwest teams.

I agree, I highly recommend the seminar, and the oppurtunity to talk with the speakers and other guests in between sessions.
