Just curious, I'm an oddball in the engineering department with my Macbook Pro. Yes I run windows and I run Solidworks just fine http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. When I have to multitask like I'm always doing, the mac never gives me troubles.

Makes two of us. Can't beat the flexibility it offers between the two operating systems. Much cheaper than a comparable dell that some folks were trying to sell me.

i run an intel imac, but have had a few issues with Inventor wanting to re-register all the time. Everything else runs perfectly though.

Previously Loved Mac:
17" Powerbook G4 1.67Ghz 1.5Gb RAM, 100Gb Hdd
Ran Virtual PC Emulator with Windows XP Pro and windows only software (Very Slow)

Currently Loved Mac:
MacBook Pro 17", 3Gb RAM, 160Gb Hdd
Runs Parallels Build 3188, Windows XP Pro, UGS NX3, Matlab, Motec ECU Manager, Motec i2Pro

You really get the best of both worlds with a Mac

I did give Bootcamp a shot, but having to reboot everytime didn't put the icing on the cake. Stay tuned for the next build release of parallels, it will supposedly support Vista.

Mac OSX 10.5 "Leopard" to be released in October

I've been using Macs for years. Been through a few (laptops mainly - an iBook then a Powerbook) then got into a desktop with an Intel iMac 20". Then I needed a laptop again so I bought a Core 2 Macbook.

Absolutely loving them! Macbook is set up primarily for work, and the iMac is for play. Parallels is a must!

New parallels will be released soon too (v3) - now it does Direct3D and OpenGL so it should be excellent!

Yeah I'm pumped about that, I think I'm going to pre-order.

I'm cheap. I'd rather just re-boot and hold a key down to switch for free. Can't justify the cash to save 1 minute http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
