A question on what other teams do with their dry sump oil lines. we have an F3 honda

for the previous two years I have run speedflow -12 lines and fittings. (JIC/AN thread 1 1/16") for use with 3/4" hose

I am considering switching to -10 (JIC/AN 7/8") along with 5/8" hose

I beleive these are standard sizes and similar to earl's products etc..

does anyone else run 5/8" lines to and from your surge tank ??

also does anyone run 3/4" lines for water, we run 1" at present.

From what I can tell, 3/4" ID hose was used on our 2003 car, but it ended up being reduced at the oil pump to 5/8", but everything worked fine. This year we are using all -10 AN stuff for the oil (this would include a -10 male fitting at the outlet and inlet of the oil reservoir).

If memory serves me correctly, I think sprintcars run -12 lines and fittings on the scavenge from the sump(2 of) and the single stage feed. Thats a 700+ hp 372ci (6 litre) engine running constantly in circles at 7-8000RPM, so the oil requirements are fairly severe.
