How can i select/decide which brake hose pipe(diameter etc) to use for my brake system. I need to know if there are any calculations required for this....

Most people use either -3 or -4 AN style lines, that's plenty and you don't see much dynamic pressure variation.

If you hunt for master cylinders or racing brake line you'll find it's all only available in a few sizes, so just pick master cylinders and appropriate fittings, and the rest of it should become somewhat clear.

I believe I used all -3 lines on my car with Wilwood PS1 calipers and Tilton mini master cylinders, and the brakes were great.
