Anybody tried putting a cam sensor in a R6 engine. We have a 99' engine and thinking of doing this for running sequential injection

We have a 99 r6 also, i put a honeywell GT1 sensor in the side of the cam cover.

the sensor is a little big, 18mm * 30mm cylinder. It sensed off one of the inlet cam sprocket bolts (we replaced the other one with a stainless bolt). The sensor sat in a boss, bolted to the cam cover. Once set up, it worked mint, never had any problems with that sensor.

Any other questions regarding engine / ecu, feel free to email me.

We just switched an '03 head onto a '99 engine. At first we wanted to just switch cams and cam cover, but if you look at the way the cams are secured into the head, it won't work. So after a little research, I found out that if you take the complete head and head gasket from an '03 - '05 R6 it will bolt right onto the previous generation engine with no cooling or oil problems.
