Hey All,

I am wondering how the teams using the large Thin Section bearings in their uprights seal them? (Assuming they were not purchased with an integrated seal)

I was considering using a carbon flange to shield last year's bearings from large particles, but ended up going with off-the-shelf double-sealed bearings.

Otherwise, if a bearing company doesn't make a seal kit, I'm not sure if its worth the effort to try to fully seal them.

Have you tried looking at Nilos Rings?
Nilos Ring Types (http://www2.nilos-ring.com/Default.aspx/G/111327/L/1033/R/-1/T/122934/A/2/ID/122939)
Perhaps you can find something there, I wanted to use them one year but couldn't find the right size. Its a very nice way to seal tapered roller bearings but that depends on how easy they are to get as well I guess.

Thanks, I'll look into those. Not sure if they have something that thin though.
