This afternoon?
Try 6 minutes ago!
We submitted it about an hour from the deadline, but we started it a few weeks ago!

Haha I just closed all my design stuff and sat down with a cold beverage to check the forums for this thread. Thanks for not letting me down.
I had to ditch out of a friends wedding reception to get back to work on the report. I know I'm gonna catch hell for that one.
Hehe. Yeah, we all sat down and started working on it at around five. Took screenshots of the car like fifteen minutes before it was due. Solidworks crashed on several of our computers at once and caused a slight panic. It it in on time though.
We got a kick out of our design report title though. Accidentally saved it as Edited final report SUPER FINAL REPORT. Maybe the judges will find it funny :P

From the rules:
A8.3 Submission Addresses and Formats
The addresses to which the various submissions should be sent are published on the event website or otherwise released by the organizers. Most of the required documents must be submitted by email and in the format specified in the individual event rules or using a prescribed form. Failure to submit a
document in the proper format or with an incorrect file name will be considered as “Not Submitted.”
Read the event rules carefully.
C5.5.2 The Design Report file must be named as follows:
carnumber_schoolname.pdf using the FSAE assigned car number and the complete school name, e.g.001_University of SAE.pdf

We did name it as such. You can have it saved and have a document title of a different name. Example: It was named 001_University of SAE.pdf but when you opened it up, the title of the document was SUPER FINAL REPORT.

Yeahhhh. I've stopped naming things like that after some embarassing moments with profs over the years.

I don't do crazy filenames with documents anymore, but I do it with random CNC programs all the time. When your files are named "ENGLISHMOTHERF___ER.ptp and DOYOUSPEAKIT.ptp" you tend not to confuse the files or their order with the myriad others that may or may not be in the machine/floppy/folder/whatever.
