I've been working on setting up a the PE Ecu on our F4i the past couple days and am having a problem with ignition. I am only getting spark from coil driver 2. The coils are wires in series as the manual shows.

I've have checked the coils, plugs, wiring, power, etc, and am checking again, but still haven't found an obvious problem, outside of the possibility of a bad drive for coil 1.

Any body with a similar experience or ideas? I would appreciate any help.

Hi Brian,

I just sent you an email.

-Are you getting crank errors?
-Can you get spark using the diagnostics?
-Do you have 12v on the one side of that bank of coils?

Give me a call if you would like to discuss 513-777-5233 ext 211.

Thanks for the quick reply Brian,

I haven't recieved the email yet, though it may be our servers here...

I cannot get a spark using diagnostics on that driver, but I do have 12v to one side of that bank. I get a crank error during inital cranking and after I relase the starter button (i.e. as the crank trigger is changing speeds.) I belive this is normal, correct?

I tried calling after class today, but must have missed you. I will try calling again tomorrow during normal business hours.

Thanks again for the help
