hi, as per rule:

B3.13.2 The Front Hoop must be supported by two braces extending in the forward direction on both the left and right sides of the Front Hoop.

can the bracing meet at the front roll hoop at a single point in the centre, at the top of the roll hoop? or does it have to be on either side? is there a minmum seperation distance?

also, as per rule:

B3.13.3 The Front Hoop braces must be constructed such that they protect the driver’s legs and should extend to the structure in front of the driver’s feet.

does that mean the front hoop bracing must be a single piece extending right to the front bulkhead?

sorry if im unclear

azam,

In my understanding the bracing can meet at the center of the front hoop as long as they seperate to each side of the vehicle. To be sure ask the rules committee (I bet this is in one of the FAQ's though).

About leg protection: the word "should" implies it is a very positive solution to extend the bracing to the structure in front of the drivers feet but that doesn't mean it's required. This rule is covered in clarifications and examples.

So do the front roll hoop braces have to be single pieces or can they be made of two pieces as long as they are triangulated with supporting tubes?

Also, how is this reported in the SES? Counting it as two tubes increases the reported strength, but I don't think that is truly what happens with making the front roll hoop brace two pieces on each side.

Thanks
