View Full Version : How to get SAE to stop sending you all these seminar flyers

I must get at least four or five a week, and it's not like I have the money to attend any of these seminars... seems to be quite the waste of paper.

I looked around on the SAE website, but there doesn't seem to be any option to stop receiving these things, or at least to get them electronically.

Anyone know where to look?

It does seem to be quite a waste. I think its picked up recently. I've got a stack of about 10 of them on my desk right now.

be sure to post here if you find a way... I'd love to go to all of them, just no time or money.

I think its amazing that there are so many conferences! Seriously, unless they're sending me duplicates (I rarely even look at them), they must have at least 4-5 conferences going EVERY DAY.

There have been days I've received 3-5 mailings in the mailbox. I would say I get SAE mailers maybe 4 out of 6 days in the week. I do wish I could find a good use for all that paper, its usually pretty good cardstock. I guess I could save it all and heat the garage with it in the winter. I've been dying to build one of those turbine powered furnaces...

Go the sae.org and log in. Down at the botton of the MySAE page is a link labeled Maintain Industry selections, clikc on all the sectinos that have a check mark and uncheck everything in each subsection. You'll never receive another one again.

I have always used my home adress as my billing address and shipped anything to my current address. This way all of these flyers are sent to my home. The downside is that my mom would complain everytime I called her, but she stopped complaining about a month ago.
