What are peoples opinions on water brake dynos vs eddy?
We have a heenan & Froude mark 1 and we suffer resonance like problems resulting in knocking noises and instability at low revs. We have 3 solutions.
Firstly, fix dyno at £3000 but we suspect the dyno is too big for our engine (dyno rated at 220 HP) and are not sure if our current problems are caused by this or its condition. Has anyone used this dyno with small engines?
Secondly, Buy reconditioned eddy dyno (Schenk W130), £6000.
Lastly, buy dynomite water dyno, £6000.
We would be very grateful for opinions on these dynos.
