engine selection .. . please help !!!

hiii everyone..
we r just mere beginners trying to take part in this grand event....
I 'll be greatly obliged if you guys can help us in engine selection process(please do remember that we r just beginners)
is using sports bike engine the only option or can we go with something other engines????
what r the most common sports bike engines generally used????
what are merits and demerits of MPFI engines over other engines???
and can you please send CAD models of these engines

also do a search for "engines". Nobody minds new members asking questions but so much has been written that it is not useful and just fills the site up if a new topic is started everytime somebody asks for advice.
