We are probably going to be getting PTFE rod ends but have been told they need breaking in. I know how to do this but was wondering how long each one takes as we would have quite a few to do.
cheers

theres a huge post thats already gone around and around. i think it was "Spherical Bearings in A-arms" Plus I think the Aurora catalog tells you what to do.

screw em into a 1 foot bar, put a bolt through em and spin em on a lathe at about 500 rpm. Takes about a minute a peice. At least thats how we've done ours the past few years.

This was covered a bit in here http://fsae.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/125607348/m/16410207621
It seemed as if the idea of breaking in PFTE lined bearings was a bad one, but I'm keen to hear peoples stories with success or failure in doing it.
