Competition Points Study

Well, the competition's over... what the hell do I do with myself now? Oh yeah, here's a points study of the last 5 years, top 5 scores.

Notice how a 5th place finish in 2004 would have been worth 2nd place in 2000 and 2002 (not realistically, just looking at points).

Our 5th place points from 2003 would only be good enough for 9th this year.

Basically if the best cars finish endurance, the points will be closer. This year that definitely was the case.

That average top 5 trend looks familiar to the University of Missouri-Columbia.
1999: 4th
2000:17th
2001: 2nd
2002:35th
2003: 2nd
2004:44th..... except for this year.
