how feasible are transaxles in fsae cars as they are dust proof, have cooler operation and are less noisy

I know WWU built one for their V8 car. I can't think of many people that have tried it as most teams wouldn't have a use for it. Most FSAE cars use either a bike or snowmobile motor.

Be my guest if you want to figure it out.

I want to say your positives you have listed aren't really unique to a transaxle.

Wut?!How are they "dust proof, have cooler operation and are less noisy"?

@Racer-X, Auckland uses one for the past 2-3 years, together with their "V-single" engine.
