I've read over almost all of the software threads on this subject and they all seem to be untouched for several months or more. Here are some questions/ideas that I had on this subject.
While this is certainly not the first engine I've worked on it is the first intake manifold I have ever attempted to design. Simulation software seems to be one of the most efficent ways to do this since dyno testing with a dozen prototypes would be nice, I simply don't have the time. Two porgrams I have been thinking of are DynoSim and Dynomation, the latter being my prefered choice. Info on programs here (http://www.proracingsim.com/purchasejac2.htm)
Dynomation is not cheap at $400, but was wondering if its worth it based on what it can do? I have seen others talk about the 3rd party software that use MatLab and Simulink, GT and 4stroke something...
Anyone's input on these programs or any others that we should consider as basically a first year team would be helpfull. I am trying to contact ProRacing Sim to see about getting a reduced price, so if this software sounds good to anyone else let me know and maybe we can get the price reduced for several teams.
