i've read the other topics about, but i'm still in doubt.
i've got a six poles switch. i want to turn all eletrical circuits off, just cutting the positive cable that comes from the battery, and stop the engine by cutting the wire that comes from the cdi to the coil (stop the ignition).
that would disable two systems, one from the battery, and another from the alternator.
i would like to know if it's practicaly possible and if it fits the rule.

If I read what you are planning to do right it sounds like you are over complicating things. I assume you are talking about the kill switch mounted on the roll hoop. Probably the simplest way to do this is to land the alternator wires directly on the battery, then have one wire from the battery go though the kill switch, then split off to power all the various components. Opening this switch cuts power from everything (ECU, coils, fuel pump), and the engine dies.

thanks for your solution.
it's exatally what i'm planning to do. but i didn't understand how i'm going to land all the alternator wires on the battery.
on the original wiring diagram, 3 wires go to the voltage regulator and another 6 go to the cdi unit.
could you explain how can do it??
thanks

What engine are you using? On the f4i the 3 wires from the alternator go into the voltage regulator, which has 2 wires coming out, positing and negative.

we use a honda cb450

It sounds as though you are saying from the motor, you have 3 wires coming out of the motor that go to the dc regulator and another 6 wires that come out of the motor and go to the cdi...just making sure this is what you are saying and not that 3 wires are going to the regulator and 6 wires are coming out of the regulator. This is normal...you have ac magneto/generator signal, neutral safety signal, possibly gear selection signal, CPS signal, and possibly some other sensors going into the cdi. Just take the wires that come back out of the dc regulator and land them at the battery. Worse case scenario, since you have a 6 pole switch, take the main power of the cdi and terminate it at that switch and it should be lifted from the circuit when you shut it off regardless of it there is a charge into the circuit. If you can scan the schematic and send it to me...or post it here, I can tell you what you need to do with each of the wires. PM me and I'll send you my e-mail address if need be.
