we are going a new team and i suppose to make a presentation about the competition to our student to give them more info. about that competition.
should i explain more of technical detail about each system like suspension or steering for example
or just talk about the competition and our aim ?

In our "standard" presentation for new sponsors or for recruitung we have slides for:

- The competition: What is the goal, who is participating, why are we doing it? What are the disciplines? What is the consequence in car design?

- The history of our team. Last years, results. In your case: Why did you start the team? Who are "you"?

- What are the plans for the new season? Some details about the new car.

Mix that with some nice videos from other teams and you should have a interessting presentation.
