Does anyone have any Honda F3 engine models in Pro/E? I've tried searching and found one, but the site was down. Thanks in advance!

Good call Tom.....

I've also always been a fan of using our Bridgeport with a digital read-out and an edge finder as a make-shift hillbilly CMM!

We've got a solid model of the engine, but it's just a huge block. I'm posting for someone on the frame team that wants it. We're further along than last year's team right now http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

And no, our school doesn't have extra money lol. We don't even have scales!

You guys doing a cvt again this year. What was the problem last year. I noticed your accel time was really high. CVT tuning? Engine? If you had problems I hope you solve them and continue to use it. CVT's are fun, when they work right that is. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Definately using the CVT again. I think the main problem last year was based on our muffler selection. They bought an exhaust guaranteed to meet the db requirement and they tuned the car. Got to competition and found out it was way too loud and switched mufflers without adjusting tune (no time). The car obviously didn't like the change. We've been tuning the car better every time we go out (no dyno) and it really runs well when it's happy. Of course we've got some gremlins to work out, but we're moving in the right direction. A well-tuned engine and CVT should have a huge advantage IMO. Plus driving around at a steady 10K is always fun http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Agreed. If you had the bucks to spend:

Aaen roller primary
Caged roller helix secondary
