Hey,

Our team has the Schroth FSAE 6 point belt.

The inspection sheet and the rules say that the shoulder -and lap belts must be min. 76mm wide. I measured the belts and come to 75mm with both eyes closedhttp://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Has someone else the same problem?

I know the belt does not correspond to the rules. But i see it often at other teams? Is our belt maybee manufactered wrong or under tolerance?

Would be fine to get some statements.

Regards Phil

Phil,
The 76 mm is a nominal dimension.

If it is a Schroth belt, as long as it shows a "Good Through" date on the label of 2012 or later, it will be OK.

Similarly, the dimension of the sub-belts are "nominal".

Sounds like a metric/imperial thing....

Three inches is 76.2mm, but in most parts of the world 75mm +/- would be the build standard most things are made to.

Phil,
And the Rules do say "approximately". I thought we had it covered.

It is commercially made and Schroth knows what they do ...
