I'm desperately looking for a supplier of springs that are 5" free length (or shorter), 1.7 ID and 225Lbs to 300Lbs. I've tried most of the Quarter midget suppliers and the most i can get from them is 200-215Lbs. Any suggestions?

Quinn,

I know in the past Dave ordered custom coil springs to use on the car. Ive taken a little initiative and sent the specs you listed above to several companies that I know of that do custom springs to get an idea of what the cost would be. Do you know exactly how many sets you want, and what your rate targets are??

I hope you don't mind, but Im just trying to help you out. I will let you know what I find out as soon as I get any info back from them.

Quinn, a place called road magnet springs does it for us. They are out of Baltimore, md. They charge about $60 for a custom spring powdercoated ready to go. Their rates are very accuarate. Number = 410-686-9100

I can back Mike up on the springs, I have rated them on the Roehrig spring dyno myself. In addition, turnaround time is excellent for a custom job
