Hi
i just wanted to know the different types of airfoils used by fsae teams . i would also like to know how to get details about the various air foil designs.

Most teams design for a lift coefficient of pi, multiplied with the downforce induced drag coefficient of 0.2 this give a good construction that holds 10.45 kN of forward thrust.

No seriously do some reaearch before asking a general question. Most teams probably opt for a very thick airfoil due to the low speed and optimize this design for the various parts of the competition. Why don't you try to put in some memory material, so that you can morf your wing for each event? And also put in some boundary layer suction while your at it. I think you should be able to pull it off, if you keep asking questions like these....

My apologies if I sound a tiny bit of sarcastic ;-)
