Shootout will be returning to Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario. The event comprises of a full day of autocrossing from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Entrants must be Formula SAE/ Formula Student racecars that have passed technical inspection at a sanctioned FSAE competition. All cars will be inspected for safety before being admitted to the pitlane, according to the FSAE technical inspection form.
Registration is NOW OPEN
Where: Mosport International Kart Track
When: Saturday, September 18th, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Schedule:
7:30am -On-site registration begins
8:00am -Tech Inspection Begins
9:00am -Track Opens
11:00 -Lunch (concessions available, track remains live)
5:00pm -Track Closes
5:30pm -Award Ceremony
6:30pm -Closing (All teams must be off-site)
7:30am -On-site registration begins

Over $3000 worth of prestigious awards, gifts and cash prizes are waiting to be won in both the team categories and individual performance categories. The grand prize is a set of Goodyear tires.
The Kart Track at Mosport offers a technical challenge with tight and wide corners, slalom and most interestingly, elevation changes. This is a chance for your team to truly see how you car performs against the clock. All laps are one-by-one time trials, run as an autocross event.

Preparations are almost complete and teams will be arriving tomorrow night. A strong field of 21 teams should make this a very exciting event! See you on track.

After sorting out some marshalling issues in the morning we were able to pump out over 300 solid laps. We will post up the full official results this week and pics will trickle in shortly. Hope you guys had a good time.

had a great time yesterday. It was a very well run event. Had a few problems on our car (shifter and muffler) but all of our drivers did get to run, and it was a fun course.
Also, thanks to UOIT for letting us borrow a muffler at the end of the day when we melted ours.
Anyone know when full results will be up? I want to see who won the USA-Canada challenge that was just made up by one of our guys as I was typing this.

Oh, and it seems like you should try to set up some more mock awards for next year. It would add another level to the event.

Official Results have been posted on the Toronto FSAE (http://www.fsae.utoronto.ca/) website. Also posted are some more pictures. I look forward to throwing it down with you guys again next year.
