Summary of Position:
Zero Motorcycle Electrical Engineering Department is looking for a highly motivated, sharp, and resourceful individual to join our team. Responsibilities cover electrical system architecture integration assistance, including reading PCB schematics, wiring harness pinout and layout diagrams, active and passive device specifications, and performing intricate physical work with specific tools to ensure a high level of system integrity. Also expected are lending a hand during preparation and test sessions off-site, as well as development area maintenance and organization. Further projects upon assignment may include system evaluation and modeling.
This is the perfect position for a current university student seeking exciting extracurricular activities in the electric powersports industry. Recent graduates seeking internships focusing on learning-by-doing are also invited to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Help engineers with projects. These may include:
o Maintaining engineering test vehicle fleet
o Assisting engineering with prototype builds
o Provide support for component, system, and whole vehicle testing
o Designing/Building test and development fixtures
o Support engineering in product design and development
o Reworking and testing circuit boards
o Writing test procedures scripts and documentation
o Wire harness prototype builds
o Provide field support when needed
o Service and repair batteries
o Maintain engineering area and stock
Required Education/Experience:
• Must be a student studying Electrical Engineering or have recently completed a degree program
• Knowledge of EV or battery systems a plus
