So I've been taking some video of the whole build process here, and I'd like to post it up on our website. Big files. I have Adobe Premiere, and it has an awful lot of export options.

Any suggestions for a frame size / rate and compression and encoding setup that will yield good results for internet video?

Both MPEG-4 and DivX are great codecs for low bitrate and high quality.

I'd suggest something in the ~60kb/s range (~500kbit/s) as far as video goes (keeping it at 24 fps) for quality but also to keep it light. 320x240 will probably be sufficient, but you could do 640x480. I'd just play around from there to tradeoff quality for size.

How long are you looking at making these videos, and is your target audience dial-up or broadband mostly?

These are gonna be < 15 seconds each typically, target is broadband. MPEG4 with 320x240 seems to work pretty well.

For our marketing video I'll prob kick it up a notch.
