RXV550 Oil flow rate

Hi,

does anyone have information on the oil flow rate for the stock Aprilia RXV550 pump?

I'm guessing that the oil pump is some sort of positive displacement gear pump?

If so, then measure the displacement for a single revolution (by testing, or calculation based on its dimensions), then multiply by whatever ratio of crankspeed it runs at. Maybe factor in a few percent loss due to leakage under pressure.

Thanks Z, yes it is a simple gerotor. This is definitely a possible solution that I can look into.
