Our team is looking into buying a tubing bender. Are there any "good brands for the money" ~a couple hundred dollars?

Also, a little info I found out today from Hoerr Racing(the company I believe several teams use for the steering rack). They have a new design in process, and are no longer selling the one that was sold last year, so if you're planning on purchasing one in the near future, I was told November at the earliest from them...eww.

This is the bender that I have seen most used. I own one and I'm pretty happy with it. I don't think that this is the company that I purchased it from but you get the idea.

At Auburn we use a Pro Tools Model 105 manual bender. I don't know how much other benders cost but the full kit on the 105 (bender + dies etc.) is $635 according to the website. We've had good luck with it and if you need a die they don't have they'll make one for you. They're in Florida so they're close if you have any problems. Good luck, fellas.

Mittler Bros 180 Bender (http://www.mittlerbros.com/Tubebender_180_hand.htm)

This one is cheap and works great on anything thicker than .035". Mittler Bros will also make custom mandrels.

They have two other tube benders, but they are considerably more expensive.

Our team does not have a bender however I have my own personal one. It is a Pro-Tools 105 HD and I converted it to hydro myself. Here is a picture:

If you guys have a CNC or access to a waterjet, etc there is some CAD files of a bender floating around the net. You would have to buy the dies.

i will probably come off as bragging, but our shop has a really cool cnc mandrel bender--but here is the catch, it was donated...
