To FSTotal (or any others who are already at FSG): Does anyone have the Scrutineering quiz results? I would like to know who prepared in advance.

Tristan,
We've posted some pics from today at https://www.facebook.com/media...7958971616852&type=1 (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.347426445336771.83128.317958971616852&type=1) and there's a snapshot or two of the scrutineering quiz results. Herts came in first with a time of 1min 12s.

Tnx Howy!
Haven't found it on the FSG site yet though. Anyway. For those who are not at fsg (and me untill thursday) I tried to get the twitter/facebook pages together again at here (http://80.112.145.70/fs/fsg.html). Missed the Hertfordshire fb page in the list and will add it.

I find the number of these pictures containing attractive women extremly insensitive and degrading to women engineers globally.

Am I the only one having livestream issues stateside? Really choppy and not synchronized, even with a pretty fast connection. Maybe it'll clear up when dynamics start =/

Please always use http://tk.formulastudent.de
You will then be automatically forwarded to one of our servers for load balancing reasons. We had short off-time earlier, because everyone was directly connecting to tk1.formulastudent.de
So please don't directly choose your server, let us choose your server.
The live stream should also now be working stable at http://www.formulastudent.tv/

I've been keeping the FS Electric scores. This includes:
- design (130 points for finalists, 100 points for all others)
- cost (90 points for top 5)
- business (75 points for finalists)
- skid pad (no cones counted)
- penalties
Then I get:
1. Zwickau 360.32
2. Delft 347.69
3. GFR 321.56
4. Zürich 317.36
5. Eindhoven 314.02
TU München have 299.01, Greenteam Stuttgart 294.05.

Now including results from business finals, cost top 5, official skid pad results and unofficial acceleration times:
1. Delft 415.51
2. GFR 390.29
3. Zwickau 387.57
4. Zürich 367.92
Then come Karlsruhe, Eindhoven, GreenTeam and TU München all with 351-352 points.
Delft's acceleration time of 3.45 must be the fastest ever recorded at an FSAE competition. The power of four wheels. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Good Morning, Everybody,
Recently I have always focus on the Formula Student Germany Competition at the Hockenheim Ring, and I think it is really a high-level grand gathering for all the FSAErs around the world! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
But I have two questions for the competition. Anybody would be so kind to tell me something about them? Thanks a lot! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
1. How about the the FS Combustion total scores now? And I know that The Endurance Competition will start in one hour, really expecting the Performance of GFR, TUM, Stuttgart, Rolla MST and Michigan Ann Arbor!! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ~~
2. I noticed that the BIT from China participated in the Autocross Competition yesterday, and it will also go in for the Endurance Competition this Morning. However, its Technical Inspection Status still shows that BIT has not passed the Noise and Brake Inspection.
Related Link:
BIT (http://www.formulastudent.de/fsc/all-fsc-teams/team-details/tid/445/)
I don't know whether the Staff have not updated the database in time or it's perhaps due to another unexpected troubles. Anybody can explain it ? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Thanks again! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Best Regards!

We've posted a load of photos from today and the rest of the event on our facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/media...7958971616852&type=1 (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.349010345178381.83553.317958971616852&type=1)
As for scores in the combustion class, its a difficult one to predict, the organisers don't publish the top 5 finishers in each event to maintain the suspense until the awards ceremony! There's been a lot of strong performances from a number of teams so who knows who's going to win this one.

Soon.... Congarts to all participants and especially those who finished endurance! What happened to GFRc? I also noticed quite a few DNF's again this year...

Great event as always. It was really interesting to see the combustion cars come out with some really fast times at the end of the day. The Aero debate looks like its going to continue for a while yet it seems.
I really enjoyed watching the feed once again. Fantastic job by the production team so thanks again from the rest of us who couldn't go ourselves. You guys and gals in Germany continue to push the bar for events, thats for sure.
Is there any news on when the complete results will be posted?

They and S&T went in for the driver change and never came back, both failing to restart their engines.
Great coverage, the announcer girl's voice wasn't nearly as irritating as last year.

No worries, it took me ages to spot where the results are (which is untypical of the FSG; their website is really user friendly). Anyway, might be easier to spot now!
Finally found the time to take a look here on the forum...
Sorry guys if things this year were not always as quickly online as hoped. I really do apologize. We will evaluate this, and will make sure it is a lot better next year. Of course we are also always open for suggestions.
Cheers,
Julien

The battle between Delft and Zürich in the electric competition was very interesting to follow. Two very different concepts, 4WD vs. aero, but a very close battle nonetheless.
I wonder what the next step is going to be... will teams converge to a 4WD aero car in the future?
In the combustion competition we had similar things going on with aero vs. no aero and single cyl vs. 4-cyl. This is what makes Formula Student a great competition isn't it. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Anyway, thanks to the FSG organisation for making my absence bearable (i.e. providing lots of information, a working live stream on Sunday, etc.)!
Cheers,

Does FSG publish individual lap times for endurance?

This was probably the best Formula Student event ever. The organization was superb, and there were a lot of very competitive teams. There wasn't any car concept or team that was able to dominate everywhere which made for a very exciting competition up until the very last minute.
Watching 5 aero cars on the track at once in the final 5 was also really cool. Congrats to Stuttgart for taking the overall win in combustion and Delft for the electric win. I can't wait for FSG 2013!

Just want to give a huge thanks to everyone who organized this FSG event. As always, there are things to be improved upon, but I think with feedback from us as students and team members it can improve every year. We always say this, but this was the best FSG thus far....the level of competition is mind-blowing, and I think we can easily say that most teams turned it up to 11 this year.

I never competed in FS-Germany when in school, but this year my former team (from Missouri S&T) finally made it over. It was great to be able to keep tabs on them via the tech update page, the live timing, the TV stream, the twitter updates- so much coverage. And from what I saw I was impressed- what a well organized, well run event.
It was unfortunate that S&T couldn't edge out a better result in endurance but I'm glad they took the leap and had the experience of FSG and was proud of the times they were laying down. The course layouts at FSG are a far cry from the wide-open SCCA courses we were at home with when I was a student.

Well, at least the FSG track was according to the rules other than the tracks of other events. The fastest team got an average speed of about 58km/hr, so they really hit it.
I saw that they were testdriving the track with an older car on Monday and Tuesday, so I think that makes the difference. Well done, guys!

I am quite sure that the LiveStreamingTeam recorded that. They just need some time to upload the videos.
