OpenFOAM CFD software

I was just reading an article about OpenFOAM, which was released as open source in december

OpenFOAM website (http://www.opencfd.co.uk/openfoam/features.html#features)

anyone have any experience with this? I noticed it has a mesh converter for I-DEAS/ANSYS, as well as fluent and gambit. (which is what we use)
