Hey guys, I am in the process of designing the exhaust collector. I want to about the design parameters for the collector that i need to keep in mind.

I want to implement a 4 into 1 collector. How is the angle of merging of the four tubes determined? How is the dia of the outlet pipe determined??

Hey chris... thanx for those links... it answered some of my other questions .... but about the suggested books... from my side of the world, getting those books would mean a lot of money, paperwork and time.... and out of the design links you gave me... well nothing seemed to answer my particular question

Have a look a google books, as there are some complete books and also selections.

Have you looked at the SAE papers? http://www.sae.org/technical/papers/ground_vehicle/
