View Full Version : Ricardo Wave convergence problem
I am modeling a single cylinder E6 engine on Ricardo Wave and have been facing problems with auto convergence. The simulations do not converge for even 50 cycles and I cannot figure out the reason behind it. I desperately need some tips to sort this out.
Thank you

Most of the time when I had convergence issues it turned out to be related to my initial condition assumptions. Specifically, too low/high exhaust temperatures in my usual case. Just make sure you have reasonable numbers for your starting conditions.
Thank you Wesley. I would also like to know if the injection duration can be specified in milli/micro seconds in Wave.

Yes, there is a pulse width injector model.
Thank you. I am running the engine for a range of speeds from 500rpm to 1500rpm. I have tuned it for mid range torque and the max torque is about 38Nm at 1000rpm.
But at 750rpm,the torque curve has a drop of 1Nm from 500rpm. I ain't able to find the exact reason behind this.
Can you please help me out.
