I heard that the AP 6465 master cylinders are very expensive. Is that the case? Where are they obtainable, or are they?

$600 after tax each.
About $500 for the needle bearing balance bar adjuster.

I looked into them already. If you buy them then you are guilty of serious masterbation. I was thinking of just designing my own pull types since I like the so much. Wont be as light as theres but I am betting I can get decently close. Close enough for our purposes. If you can deal with 14 to 16mm piston sizes then look at the ap's motorcycle pull type rear brake master cylinders. Those are only 250-300 a piece!!! http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I called MSI, and Was quoted like 600 for two fo 'em. Either way, it's still stupid. The problem with making your own would be getting the shaft supersmooth (not on our lathe, and I can't afford plating and crap) and getting it to seal up, cause I thought baout it, too. They're frigging PERFECT for Fsae cars, except that one of those cost about as much as a couple of my brake calipers.

my bad. idiot i am. gt mule is right about pricing. The balance bar center costs the same as the M.C. I think the motorcycle one is like real high 100's tp low 200's. Check it out. NIce little unit.

GtMule,

Thats what a grinder is for.
