Header Mating

Just wondering how people are mating their headers to the ports (exhaust gaskets).

A larger diameter tubing or ring that matches the port's outside diameter (outside diameter of exhaust gasket) with an inside diameter of the size of the primary pipe?

Is there a purchased component?

We took a bit of thick wall tubing, and turned it down so that it fit our primaries, and the gasket surface as well. It was a fairly simple process. I can't measure them really...they are welded in now.

A little Barry White and scented candles usually helps to start the exhaust mating. Doesn't your school have a major for exhaust husbandry?

We just picked up some stock pipes from a local motorcycle salvage shop for very cheap. We ended up using the stock ends and flanges as well as the muffler flange.
