Hi,
We are using a Nitrogen tank for our shifter this year. We plan to implement a multi stage pressure regulation, with the primary regulator mounted on the tank itself, and a subsequent regulator (which is AFTER some hosing), to bring down the pressure further.

Now, the rule B 13.1 - c says

"Pressure Regulation-The pressure regulator must be mounted directly onto the gas
cylinder/tank."

Will our second regulator be violating this rule?

Thanks

I think the intent of the rule is to limit the chances for high pressure leaks in the system. So as long as you have brought the pressure down to something reasonable with the first regulator (say <200psi) then you should be fine.

probably, but all rules questions should be directed towards SAE.
