Any teams running Akrapovic mufflers?

If so, how did you find one with the right inlet size, and where did you get it? It seems like they are hard to get here in the States.

Any help would be much appreciated...

Thanks

Tony, we're running Akrapovic. He is sponsoring us evrery year.
As far as I know, one of our muffler was custom made for the doctor himself http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. The oultets/inlets were custom made specialy for our car. (An special arangement with mr. Akrapovic)

It's an excelent muffler. Wery light made of Titanium alloy (less than 3kg), with a great sound and not at least some power gain.

I don't know where you coul'd get it in the states. We can get it in almost every motorcycle store or direct at the factory. I can try to get it for you and ship it over to Kettering if you want to.

"at least some power gain"

Is that over another muffler or no muffler at all?

Oh, sorry! I meant "at last but not least" (I hope thats correct)

I don't know what's the difference compared to other mufflers on a fsae car. But you can see the Hp gain compared with stock mufflers on their webpage (http://www.akrapovic.si)

Akrapovic is known as manufacturer of one of the best, if not the best racing exthaust systems in the world. His exthaust are used in all motorcycle racing series. I've heard several teams want him in formula 1 series. In the near future he's planning to build high performance sports car exthaust systems and mufflers.
