Just curious, what is the insurance situation going to be for this? Are we going to be signing waivers similar to the UofT shootout?
Thanks

Good question..I want to ask the same. They have not mentioned about insurance situation there.

Formula North will have insurance coverage, and our insurance carrier will require waivers/liability forms signed by participants/attendees.

We are curious about the process of bringing the formula cars and trailer to Canada. What kind of paperwork needs to be fill out, etc?

I'm sure others could elaborate more, but I can tell you our university wanted 6 months notice. Outside of that I would think it would be wise to make sure everything is neatly packed and accessible in case they want to check it at the border. I'd expect more trouble getting back to the US honestly.
Another thing to note, last I recall you can get into Canada easily enough without a passport, but as of the latest DHS rule changes in about 2009, if you want to go home, you will need a passport. And those take like 2 months; we've been harassing everyone to make sure they have their passports for the last month or so.

Adam,
In 2008, we went to Montreal for the Baja comp and we had more trouble getting into Canada than getting back to the US. Canadian customs made us turn around back to Michigan, I guess something about not having the right paperwork. The problem is no one remembers that paperwork.
Yes, I've been harassing the team for their passport since November.

When we have gone to the UofT Shootout for the past few years, we haven't had any problem really.
Our school won't allow us to take their vehicles out of the country, so we got a Uhaul trailer and one of our member's parent's big trucks to haul everything up there. We did get pulled over once, but it was just a standard check and they let us through.
