Hi Everyone,

I am designing an aluminium honeycomb impact attenuator, preferably with a crush strength of around 1.8N/mm2 and a thickness of 160mm.

Does anyone know a good European/UK supplier? Usually suppliers sell in bulk so is anyone interested in a group buy? Or has anyone in Europe/UK got any honeycomb cut offs they are willing to sell?

Thank you!

Google India must be different to Google UK. How on earth is Google going to hook the OP up with other FS teams with offcuts of aluminium honeycomb, let alone sort out a group buy?

Good question. I'll ask tomorrow (work night) and let you know. All I know is that the company doesn't make it anymore, so we have some of the last reserves of it... enough to last us forever :P

We use a honeycomb attenuator every year, are tec advisor used to work in crash testing and loves it so we have huge box of the stuff, its rated at 1.7 MPa. Ill speak to the 'money people' see if we can part with a few blocks if your intrested?

if its honeycomb sandwich plate your looking for I dont think we can help with that :S
