Hi!

I've some doubts about B3.21.10 of technical requirements. When they say:

Quasi-static testing may be performed by teams using their universities facilities/equipment, but teams are advised to exercise due care when performing all tests.

What does mean a Quasi-static testing?
May I make a quasi-static testing in a tensile testing machine?

Quasi-static is slow strain rate. This means you aren't crashing your own attenuators at full speed.

A tensile testing machine can be used for quasi-static testing, but it may be required to prove strain rate independence of your material. If your material is strain rate dependent, you may need to show how your material would act at higher strain rates.
