Hello, I am wondering what is an acceptable adhesive to mount an aluminum honeycomb attenuator to intrusion plate with. Thanks in advance.

We didn't use aluminum honeycomb, but we had to mount aluminum to aluminum, and we used some sort of 3M adhesive. I'll look it up next time I'm in the shop.

A good epoxy (properly applied) would probably do the trick too.

We have built an aluminium honeycomb chassis for a few years using loctite E-20HP. Expensive but works damm well.

assuming it doesn't weigh much (which ally honeycomb shouldn't) and provided you have another mechanism providing support to off centre impacts (as per rules), you can use something nice and cheap like araldite. In prev. years we've stuck our honeycomb IA together using a sheet of ally on the back as a spreader plate, and then attached it mechanically to the close out plate so if we have to replace it it's not a massive faff.
