I'm trying to connect an AN6 fitting to the stock f4i fuel rail without having to use any of the rubber hose connected to the stock banjo fitting. I had seen a previous post about changing the end nut to one with an AN6 fitting but wasn't able to find that part. How have some teams done this?

Cut the stock banjo part off and weld on a new AN-6 fitting http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Works perfectly. Just make sure you wire wheel off that coating honda has on it in the heat affected region, or you'll be in for quite the high. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

You can buy the exact part you need
without cutting anything. I can't
remember if it was the 1.25 or the 1.5

My preference is to steer clear of banjo joints because each time you have to connect and disconnect that fitting (granted, this better not happen a whole lot, or you have other problems), but you'll have to replace those silly crush washers, or watchout, leak city.

I agree, you do have to be aware of
one-time-use parts, whether they are lock nuts or crush washers. We didn't use the F4i rail,
but I bought that part when we were planning on using it.

We use the F4i fuel rail in completely stock form. There is a metric banjo fitting available from Earls that fits almost perfectly. I believe we machine down the stock fitting so it fits the new banjo, but the rail is untouched. Buy extra crush washers.

Right on Jon.....both options work equally as well..just make sure you have plenty of extra crush washers if you go the banjo fitting route....

Walbro's high pressure pump is pretty common amongst the teams for external pumps.
