Hey everyone,

The following is a chunk of an email that I received for FSAE volunteers. All you graduating(ed) seniors should take an hour out of building/testing to create/polish up your resume. You won't regret it!

"We are now at 150+ volunteers/potential volunteers. A quick listing of the companies represented by the volunteers is quite impressive: AAA - Automobile Club of Southern California, Adam Aircraft, Air Resources Board, American Racing, Angelus Sanitary Can Machine Co., Automobile Magazine, B&M Racing, Bill Mitchell Software, Boeing, Bridgestone, Bruel & Kjaer, Brutoco Engineering, Burns Stainless, Car and Driver, Creative Development House, CSUSB, CV Products, DaimlerChrysler, Del West, Edelbrock, Edmunds.com, Elite Transmissions, Fleetwood, General Motors, Greenspeed, Griswold Controls, Hawk Ridge Systems, Hi-Shear, Honda, Honeywell, JE Pistons, Justice Brothers, Lockheed, Lotus Engineering, Mercedes Benz, Superior Crankshaft, Micro Pulse, MillenWorks, MTS, Nissan, Primedia, Road & Track, Saleen, SCCA, SEMA, Skunk2 Racing, Sparta, Swift Engineering, The Carlab, Tilton Engineering, Toyo Tires, Toyota, Tuner Performance Reports, UGS, UPS, USAC, & VARA.

FSAE West Sponsors: Expect to see a very visible presence from the good people at Honda, Honeywell, and Red Bull at the California Speedway. Longtime Formula SAE supporters Goodyear, Hoosier Tires, and Lincoln Electric are also planning to attend. General Motors is sending recruiters to the West as they are actively seeking entry level powertrain engineers. In addition to sponsors we have received in-kind donations and services from Mercedes Benz, UPS, Mitsubishi, and others."

That is all,
Kirk

What's Car and Driver doing out there? I've personally talked with Csaba Csere, the editor-in-chief of Car and Driver, and he said that they really have no interest in FSAE because that's not what their readers are interested in. I see their sister magazine Road and Track will be out there as would be logical as they are based in California but Car and Driver is in Ann Arbor.

It says that is a "quick listing of the companies represented by the volunteer."
It just means that one of the volunteers works for C&D.

My company is listed but I'm not attending in any official representation capacity.
That said...
I will be looking for good people in Fontana.
In the last month we've hired two ex-FSAE guys that I brought in resumes for. We just hired Mini Baja guy too.

Also, take a look at this thread.

That's good advice from my buddy Dusan. He was on our team in 2004 and got hired at HPD after attending the dinner they hosted at Big Buck. He knows what he's talking about.
