06'-07' Season was very successful for Keizer wheels as teams again took us along the way to an excellent year full of Championships. We had a blast working with everyone, even the teams who produced centers to fit to our parts. On that note, congrats to the 2007 Champs, the University of Wisconsin. We also racked up more International wins then any other year. Thanks to all the teams that worked with us on your last year's races, both home & abroad.

07'-08' Looks to be in full swing as teams have begun piling in requests for tech drawings and quotes. We are eager to help get your car on the ground. Below is some sponsorship discounted pricing on most of the common options we provide. Any and all questions are welcome. Remember if you have a custom request, more often then not, we can help.

What's new: We have implemented several new pieces of CNC spinning & machining equipment to further the quality of our wheel parts. Material suppliers have stepped up & we are seeing some of the strongest & lightest parts we have ever produced. Thanks to all teams with valuable feedback to help us get here.

Wade,

I am happy to hear you are expanding with new equipement. Sounds like buisness is going good. The only thing I think you should add is better shipping boxes for your rims. The beads cut through the boxes and require some hand filing to smooth out the UPS induced trauma. I know it is tight but I would suggest a cardboard square ring around each rim as armor if you continue to use the same box.

What are the advantages to the Magnesium rims? Are they lighter or are they about the same and just provide better stiffness. Just curious since you only quoted the average weight. Thanks

Good question! The mag center has better offset choices. On a 6" wheel the Mag can achieve a 2" positive offset while the alum is confined to max of 1". It also has increments of 1/4" for your choice.

Basically you can pull the mag wheel over the suspension 1" farther then the alum

Any questions please email

I just graduated and am working at Delphi right now. Here is another idea. At least for SAE people who contiually complain about bending your halves because of shitty tire machines, inexperience, etc you should design the centers to use a double as-586 oring so you can mount and dismount the tires just by splitting the wheels. With an electric gun and a box wrench it would take the same time as a tire machine and reduce risk of damage. We talked about this on the phone and I know it will work because someone else is doing it. It would be nice for you to not have to bother with the rim caulk. Ill do the engineering on it for tradehttp://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Rob,

Do you have any pointers on removing the tire bead from the rim halves, other than lots of KY, and lots of four letter words? I wrestled an old set of Hoosiers off a pair of our 13" halves the beginning of the year, and took near 2 hours for the first one, plus some worrysome marrs on the bead seats due to the too judicious use of a Craftsman 0.5" screwdriver.

All ears,

Best,
Drew

As an experienced user of KY, let me tell you that...

Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't the CTE of rubber higher than that of aluminum. In that case perhaps you should use WARMING KY!

No I dont. I can suggest to use proper tools though. Tire spoons are dirt cheap.

Would it be possible for you to send out the 2d drawings of the 1" and 1.5" outer shells?

Get a tire changer designed to change race tires on race rims, and all your problems will go away...

Works a treat.
