Hi guys.

When I emailed goodyear about them emailing me some old tyre data for their fsae tyres, I got no reply whatsoever. Guess I should make a long distance call. Did anyone get this data? would anyone be wishing to email it? Just send me a PM and i'll give you my address

I've based some small calcs on data from books but it is generally a bit inconsistent because not all plots are present. I know the consortium data fits perfectly but I reckon there is gonna be so much data that I will just freak out for a while... http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Also, does anybody know of other random tyre data that may be online in any kind of format (CSV or whatever)? Search engines mostly come out with crap about commercial tyres and tyre fitters!! I found some good sources but the pc crashed overnight and I lost all my open pages in IE. Cheers buddy!

I will look more into it still. Just if anyone knows one of those tricky to find addresses, pass it this way if it's not too much hassle. I've lost loads of my bookmarks simply from HD crashes and moving too many times in my life.

the page below is interesting and i'm sure whoever is interested in it has read it at least once http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

totally off topic, Opera (a web browser) saves sessions automatically, so if the PC crashes, you'll recover all your websites at startup.

found a pdf from goodyear with lateral force vs slip angle diagrams at 3 different cambers, dated 1999. but i only have that data for the 19.5x6.5-10 tire...

could mail it if that's what you're looking for

I did that same thing. Goodyear FINALLY emailed me back and said they do not provide any more tire information since it was getting so old. Only resort is the consortium now for any up-to-date tire data, which I still look to join eventually. We're basically designing our car off tires without any data or very little if that. Just gonna make a fully adjustable suspension and test n tune till it feels right.

Thanks for your reply Kristoffer

I sent you a PM.

Will be enough for now to use that data. Will be interesting then to get the newest data and see progress in the last 5-6 years. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
